Willie Mae (Sally/Granny) Cockrell Furlow, 91, of Huxley, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Sholar Cemetery in Joaquin with visitation at Watson & Sons Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Gordon Vaughn will officiate.

Born February 8, 1935, Willie Mae (Sally) Furlow is the daughter of William Cockrell and Rosa D. Hooper Cockrell. She was a member of Lydia Missionary Baptist Church in Huxley.

Willie Mae (Sally/Granny) Furlow married “her little man” and the love of her life, J.T. (Shorty/Jake) Furlow, on March 8, 1977. Together they created a beautiful love story.

Willie Mae (Sally/Granny) Furlow was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and precious memories that will forever live in her family’s hearts. Family was the center of her world. She loved her children, but her grandchildren and great grands held a big piece of her heart. The holidays were special to her. She loved to cook for the family and have everyone gather. Above all, she loved the Lord.

She leaves us with a beautiful example of love, devotion, and the importance of family. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her sons, James Ray Collum and Richard Furlow; daughters, Brenda Ethridge Smith, Janet Collum Burleigh and husband Steve, Ann Hargrove and husband Richard, and Patsy Prinz and husband Willie; grandchildren, Anna Collum Sandifer, Mikayla Broadway Eddins, Karley Broadway, Stevie Ethridge, Josh Prinz, Kristy Chapman, Bryan Atchley, Yolanda Furlow, Richard Furlow Jr., Simon Furlow, Noralee C. Furlow; great grandchildren, Maverick Sandifer, Codi Grace Eddins, Karsin Mosley, Adalynn Mosley, Brinklee Mosley, Parker Mosley, Adilynn Etheridge, Raelynn Etheridge, Brooklynn Etheridge, Abigal Prinz, Austin Prinz, Haley Wise, Ray Chapman II, Lydia Chapman, Megan Atchley, Ryanna Atchley, Simon Furlow Jr., Raekyn Chapman, Kyle Wise, Nathaniel Furlow, Evelyn Furlow, Braxton, and Austin Etheridge.

Preceded in death by husband, J.T. Furlow; sons, Ricky Etheridge and James D. Etheridge; grandchildren, Vance Etheridge, Michael Etheridge, Eric Etheridge, Jimmy Prinz, and Justin Prinz; parents, William Cockrell and Rosa D. Hooper Cockrell; sisters, Dovie Sholar, Francis Wagstaff, and Mildred Sholar; brothers, T.P. Cockrell, Billy Mac Cockrell, and William Cockrell.

Pallbearers will be Cody Eddins, Ryan Sandifer, Caleb Mosley, Stevie Etheridge, Steve Burleigh, and Melvin Broadway Jr.
