William R. "Rick" Forbis , 56, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches.  He was born March 5, 1957 in Galena Park to Thomas W. Forbis and Dorothy Faye Emmons Forbis.  Mr. Forbis was a member of Toledo Bend Baptist Church in Huxley.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Gordon Vaughn and Bro. Otis Jarrell officiating. Interment will follow at Old Center Cemetery in Panola County.
