William Barney Moss , 84, of Joaquin, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020, in Joaquin.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2020, at Strong Cemetery in Huxley with Robert Ortego officiating. Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.

Born August 15, 1936, in Laredo, Mr. Moss is the son of Barney H. Moss and Christina Julia Hernandez Moss.  He served in the United States National Guard and also worked as an instrument mechanic at DuPont for twenty-eight years. He was the owner and operator of Chico's Crafts in Joaquin.  Mr. Moss was a member of Lions Club International and First Methodist Church of Joaquin.

He is survived by his children, Craig Moss of Joaquin, Buddy Moss and wife Patti of Bridge City, and Ginger McKinzie and fiancé Doug Shute of Baytown; grandchildren, Leah Moss Busby and Adam, Landon McDonald, Lane McDonald and fiancé Hannah Jordan, Allison McKinzie and fiancé Skylar Eva; great grandchildren, Lennon McDonald, Lawson McDonald, and Sadie Busby; bonus great grandchildren, Conner and Holden McDonald and future baby McDonald; sisters, Virginia Powell of Anaheim, California and Velma Kirbo of Corpus Christi; and special niece, Lavonne Wood.

Preceded in death by his wife, Avis Moss; parents, Barney H. Moss and Christina Julia Hernandez Moss; sister, Bobbie Jean Wallace; brother, James Moss; and son-in-law, Mark McKinzie of Carthage.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Moss, Lane McDonald, Landon McDonald, Skylar Evans, Doug Shute, and Tommy Miller.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of Methodist Church and "Memo" Hernandez.
