William "Bill" Fowler, Jr., 78, of Center, formerly of Shreveport, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Green Acres Nursing Center. He was born April 23, 1930 in Shreveport, Louisiana to William James Fowler, Sr. and Ann Fletcher Fowler. Mr. Fowler was a devout Christian. He had worked as a furniture salesman his entire life and had won many, many awards. Mr. Fowler was a Korean Veteran, having served in both the Army and Air Force.

At Mr. Fowler's request, his body has been donated to science, and there will be no services.

Brother, Irving Jerome "Jerry" Fowler & wife Peggy

Also numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends & customers with whom he came in contact during his many years at Hemingway's and Bewley's.

He was preceded in death in 2000 by his beloved wife of 48 years, Erin Kathleen Fowler.
