Warren Albert Roquet
, 93, of Houston, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Houston. He was born August 23, 1920 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Aloysius "Albert" Roquet and Mary Heintz Roquet.
Mr. Roquet graduated from Owensville, Ohio High School in 1938, University of Cincinnati in 1947 with a Degree in Business Administration (BBA) and Southern Methodist Law School in Dallas, Texas in 1948 with a law degree (J.D.). On October 23, 1944, he married Miss Gwen Worsham. He was employed by Shell Oil Company from August of 1948 until he retired in 1981. He worked in the Land, Pipeline, Legal, Public Affairs, Government Affairs and Insurance Departments. From 1981 until 1985, he engaged in consulting work as a Petroleum Land and Legal Consultant.
Mr. Roquet joined the United States Air Force in August of 1942 and served as a Navigator with the 491st Heavy Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force in England until 1945. He remained in the Air Force Reserve until he retired from duty at the rank of Colonel. He was a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers in the late 1970's and a charter and life member of the Silver Falcons of the United States Air Force Academy since 1974.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin.
