Walter Anderson , 73, of Joaquin, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in Houston.

Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Old Home Cemetery in Shelby County with Bro. Hollis Bass officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Mr. Anderson was born January 30, 1946, in New Gulf, Texas, to Elmer David Anderson and Velma Dee Gaddis Anderson.  His hobbies included hunting and riding horses.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Anderson; children, Lisa Turner and Gary Stone, Theresa Hohmann and husband Robert, Deeann Green and husband James, Diann Gansky; grandchildren, Angela Turner, Christopher Mowery, Chelsey Wolf, Dustin Wolf, Jamie Green, Haley Hohmann, Andy Hohmann; great grandchildren, Hunter, Nathan, Briar, Ryder, Caden, Gabriel; sister, Hazel Prazak; brother, Thomas Anderson.
