W.A. Moore , 91, of Joaquin, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, in Nacogdoches.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Steven Hill will officiate. Interment will follow at Joaquin Cemetery in Joaquin.
Born April 25, 1933, in Logansport, Louisiana, W.A. is the son of William Ivory Moore and Wilma Douglas Moore. He was a member of Pipeliners Union for 50 years, the Masonic Lodge, and First Baptist Church in Center.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Moore and wife Diane of Carthage, Lenney Moore and wife Cindy of Franklin, Tommy Moore and wife Lisa of Henderson, and Steven Moore and wife Betty of Carthage; grandchildren, Emily Dunn, Daniel Moore, Heather Moore, Kaycee Sims, Chelsea McIntosh, Tucker Moore, Janson Moore, Madison Burns, Coleman Bartlett, Rowdy Moore, and Sage Moore; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Hunt of Arkansas; a host of nieces and nephews; mother of his children, Shirley Estes of Carthage; and special friend, Coy Reed.
Preceded in death by his wives, Nancy Moore and Mary Ann Moore; parents, William Ivory Moore and Wilma Douglas Moore; brothers, Verlin Moore and Marlis Moore; sisters, Dorothy Bonner and Sherry Moore.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Moore, Janson Moore, Rowdy Moore, Zay Dunn, Evan Dunn, Tucker Moore, and Coleman Bartlett. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Bonner.
