Virgie Adams Fort, 91, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at Colonial Pines Nursing home in San Augustine. She was born on December 1, 1919 in San Augustine to Mac McKinney and Mary Sular Dwire McKinney. Ms. Fort was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star in San Augustine.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 1, 2011 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Lamar Denby and Bro. Billy Windham officiating. Interment will follow at West Hamilton Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Pallbearers will be Danny Flournoy, Jimmy Rhame, David Lewis, Ronnie Hogue, Virgil Duke and Billy Davis.
