Vernon E. Eason, 76, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Desoto Regional Medical Center. He was born March 26, 1933 in Clarks, Louisiana to Almon Eason and Kathrine Haynes Eason. Mr. Eason was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana. He worked with Volunteer Christian Builders for over eleven years.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday, September 20th at First Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 21st at First Baptist Church in Logansport, with Bro. Lance Cypert and Bro. Charles Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana. Honorary pallbearers will be the Gideon Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Eason of Logansport, Louisiana: daughter; Debbie Nutt and husband David of Prague, Oklahoma and their children, Elizabeth Nutt, Cody Nutt and wife Britta and their children, Victoria Nutt and Colten Nutt: daughter; Linda Eason of Delhi, Canada: sisters-in-law; Earline Eason of Clarks, Louisiana and Ruby Eason of Tallulah, Louisiana: brothers-in-law; Shelton Mizell of Springhill, Louisiana, David Goss of Lindale, John Goss of Costa Rica: numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
