Velma Odell Smith
, 92, of Center, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at her residence.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 23, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Don Moore and Rev. Mervin Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Center.
Ms. Smith was born August 4, 1921 in Shelby County to John Selmer Luman and Eunice Anderson Luman. She loved to cook supper every Saturday night for her family. Ms. Smith was devoted to her family and loved the Lord. She was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Center.
