Obituary

"Buddy" Broadway, 84, of Center, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 in Center. He was born April 16, 1927 in Center to John Henry Broadway and Lula Bertha Manshack Broadway. Mr. Broadway was a member of the Shelby County Foxhunters Association. He was a member of the Free Pentecostal Church.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, June 10, 2011 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. Bruce Kunkle and Rev. Joe Rowe officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Shelby County.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Strong, Jake Broadway, Michael Strong, Chris Yarbrough, Travis Broadway, and David Whitton.

He is survived by:

Wife, Dorothy Hight Broadway of Center

Son, Bryan Broadway and wife Katherine of Timpson

Daughters:
Anita J. Jones and husband Bobby Lee of Center
Rita Carter and husband Wayne of Converse, Louisiana

Grandchildren:
Krista Strong, Niki Legg, Ashley Holloway, Shana Whitton, Shelley Yarbrough, Travis Broadway and Jake Broadway

Great Grandchildren:
Aaron, Brayden, Jared, Riley, Christian, Justin, Zachary, Alex, Krystin, Kayla, Katie and Charles

Sister, Dotsy Stevens of Houston
