Mr. Haley passed from this life on April 27, 2025, at his residence in the Harper Community of Rusk County surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 14, 1946, in Center to the late Gene "Pete" and Mary (Miller) Haley. Tommy graduated from Center High School and went on to attend Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service where he graduated with the class of 1970. Early on in his adult life, he was also raised as a Master Mason with Sam Samford Lodge #149 in Center and was also a member of Sharon Shrine. In 1998, Tommy would move to Henderson to work at Crawford-Crim-Bryan Funeral Home, now Crawford-A. Crim, a position he held until his retirement in 2008. In his spare time, Tommy was an avid and accomplished golfer and fisherman.

In addition to Mr. and Mrs. Haley, Tommy was preceded in death by his brothers Eugene Haley Jr. and Bill Haley.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Sparkman Haley of Henderson. Tommy loved and was blessed with three children, Sharon Peace and husband Roy of Center, Julie Harbison and husband Heath of Center, and Michael Haley and wife Scharla of San Augustine, and as luck and God would have it, he was blessed with three more to round out his life, Lauren Bateman and husband Clayton of Whitehouse, Bailey Williams of Henderson, and Blake Williams of Henderson; grandchildren, Tanner Peace, Suzanne Peace, Lucas Harbison and wife Haley, Justin Harbison, Lylah Bateman and Connor Bateman; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Harper Harbison; sisters-in-law, Mary Haley and Peggy Haley; Michelle's father, Charles Sparkman and wife Shelli; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan and Jeff Wealdon; brothers-in-law, Bobby and Cole Sparkman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
