Thomas Lee Stokes , 73, of Tenaha, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Tenaha.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Bro. Dathan Triplett to officiate.  Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.

Born October 9, 1950, in Floresville, Thomas is the son of Marion Francis Stokes and Lillian Haiduk Stokes. At age 11, he moved to Longview and he continued to live in the East Texas area for the remainder of his life.  Thomas made a career in welding, which he enjoyed.  An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Kathy Ann Allison-Stokes, David Michael Stokes and wife Melissa, Heather Lee Stokes, and Holly Etheredge and husband Dillion; grandchildren, Justin, Samantha, Brandon, Katelyn, Seth, Brayden, Maleek, Madilyn, and Dani.

Preceded in death by son, Tony Lee Stokes; daughter, Franshaire J. Stokes; and parents, Marion Francis Stokes and Lillian Haiduk Stokes.

Pallbearers will be David Stokes, Seth Stokes, Jody Romero, Brayden Etheredge, Clay Gunner, Justin Allison, and Brandon Stokes.  Honorary pallbearer will be Ben Adkinson.
