Thomas "Tommy" Earl Morrison, 79, of Center, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 at a local nursing home. He was born August 17, 1928 in Center to Tommy Eugene Morrison and Amanda Haley Morrison. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1947. In 1953, he started the Little League in Center, along with friends Bob Fairchild and Bob Clifford. Tommy was an avid cattle raiser and timber grower, and owner of Morrison Insurance Agency for over 50 years. He was a Charter Member of the Sons of The Republic of Texas, the Gateway to Texas Chapter. Tommy was on the Board of Directors at Farmers State Bank and was a past president of the Center Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Center Noon Lions Club, with over 55 years of perfect attendance. Tommy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Center.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, May 30, 2008 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Center with Bro. Russ Atwood and Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Center.

Zachary Fausett, Mallory Fausett, and Luke Fausett
