T. G. Gerald Bellmyer
, 92, of Tenaha, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at Newburn Cemetery in Center.
Mr. Bellmyer was born June 7, 1922 in Copan, Oklahoma to Arlie Bellmyer and Evelyn Wagaman Bellmyer. During World War II, he served in the Eighth Bomber Command of the United States Air Force. Mr. Bellmyer later became a maintenance supervisor for Charter Oil Company, where he retired after many years of service. Loving the outdoors, he spent much time farming, caring for his cattle and keeping his property in immaculate condition. Mr. Bellmyer had a special passion for his family, always including them in his daily activities. He taught both his children and grandchildren to work hard, but taught them to play hard as well. As a hobby, Mr. Bellmyer enjoyed square dancing with friends across Texas. He was a 50+ year member of the Tenaha Masonic Lodge #737.
