Silas William Wilburn Jr. , 71, of Center, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, in Center.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center with Bro. Rob Merriman officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.

Born June 3, 1950, in Fort Hood, Texas, Silas is the son of Silas William Wilburn Sr. and Flo C. Turner Wilburn.  He was a truck driver. In spare time, he enjoyed fishing and tinkering with cars. Silas was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his daughters, Tara Permenter and husband Cody of Joaquin and Sally Wilburn of Lufkin; grandchildren, Collin Vickers and Haley Wagstaff of Joaquin, Carsen Vickers and Levi Harville of Joaquin, Hadley Permenter of Joaquin, and Emerson Wilburn of Lufkin.

Preceded in death by parents, Silas William Wilburn Sr. and Flo C. Turner Wilburn; and sister, Linda McKenzie.

Pallbearers will be Collin Vickers, Levi Harville, Cody Permenter, and Steve Permenter.
