Shirley M. Murphey , 76, of Joaquin, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

Mrs. Murphey's wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Born April 10, 1944, Shirley is the daughter of the late Luther Andrew Moore and Emma Lee Driskell Moore. A seamstress, piano player, and Bible scholar are a few of her talents. Mrs. Shirley loved her kids and was a devout Christian of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Murphey of Joaquin; children, Eugene Brumley and wife Priscilla of Whitwell, Tennessee, Emma Sprewell and husband Mark of Carrollton, Georgia, Edward Murphey of Joaquin, and Michael Murphey of Joaquin; several grandkids and great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Andrew Moore and Emma Lee Driskell Moore; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.
