Sherri Diane Hitt Stamper
, 60, of Houston, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at her residence. She was born May 6, 1953 in Houston to Walter James Hitt and Lorene Spencer Hitt. Sherri loved the Lord and was particularly interested in the prophecies of the Old Testament. She traveled to the Holy Land, where she felt blessed to walk where Jesus walked. She was a member of Bibles for China and supported several other missions. Sherri loved to cook and feed all of her family and friends. Everyone especially loved her homemade chocolate Wesson Oil Cake. Sherri loved people and was always helping someone in need. This past Thanksgiving and Christmas, she cooked for neighbors who did not have any family with whom to celebrate. Sherri was a 911 operator for the city of Houston and was dearly loved by all of her co-workers. She was one of the sweetest ladies and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
