It is with loving tribute that the family announces the death of beloved wife and mother Sharon Davis of Shelbyville, Texas. Sharon was born October 28, 1941, in Ludlow, Massachusetts. She peacefully passed away on Friday, September 20th, at her home in Shelby County, Texas, surrounded by loved ones.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, John Davis. Her daughter, Elizabeth Zimmerman; son-in-law, Doug Zimmerman; grandchildren, Reagan Zimmerman, Cameron Zimmerman, Annalisa Zimmerman; great grandsons, Kainen Roe, Vinny Divas-Zimmerman. She also is survived by son, James Withers and daughter-in-law, Donna Hughes; grandson, Major Nathan Blair; granddaughter-in-law, Rachel Blair, and their children Josie, Jaxon, and Lexie. Sharon is also survived by her stepchildren and families that loved her immensely, John Davis, Dale Wade Davis, and Debbie Davis. Additionally, Sharon is survived by brothers, Marshal Coulter and wife Ellen and brother, Robert Coulter of Fort Worth. Sharon loved and adored her best friend, Debra Belgard, and dear friend, Euvonne Cooper.
Sharon is preceded in passing by her mother, Adele Musinski.
Sharon was a woman of faith and always inspired others by her selfless actions. She studied biblical doctrine daily under the guidance of Berachah Church in Houston, Texas and Pastor RB Thieme Jr.
After graduating nursing school in 1962, she went into the Army Nurse Corps where she served her country in Vietnam. She was a dedicated nurse for over 50 years and was passionate about helping others.
Sharon loved her family and faced death with bravery and courage inspired by her faith and love for Jesus Christ.
Services will be 10am on Saturday 9/28 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center, Texas.
