Sarah JoAnn Chantland , 75, of Center, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Green Acres Nursing Home in Center.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2014 at Clayton Cemetery in Panola County.

Ms. Chantland was born August 18, 1938 in Sheridan, Arkansas to John W. Ashcraft and Della Allen. She was a member of American Legion Post 318 in Koran, Louisiana. Ms. Chantland enjoyed sports, traveling, socializing, throwing parties, cooking and just about any activity where she was surrounded by family and friends.
