Russell Stone , 72, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Nacogdoches.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Wimberly Chapel in Shelby County. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Wimberly Chapel in Shelby County with Bro. Jeff Spring officiating. Interment will follow at Wimberly Cemetery.

Russell was born July 15, 1942 in Wheeler, Texas to Christine and Lewis Stone. Russell had a large family including father, mother, 5 brothers and 2 sisters, all except a brother of which have preceded him in death.

While spending time in Japan, Russell met the love of his life Kim and they later married. Kim preceded him in death in 2009.

Russell was a retired navy man as well as a retired worker from the nuclear plant in Bay City, Texas.

He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews and his joy, best friend and dog, Cowboy.

He will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Pike, Jason Pike, Gary Braley, Aaron Broaddus, Dakota Bridge, Charlie Patton, Mike Huebel and Danny Hodson.
