Russell David Burson, 49, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2009 at his home. He was born November 11, 1959 in Oak Harbor, Washington to Jack David Burson and Annabell Russell Burson. Mr. Burson graduated from Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff, Louisiana, then went on to get his Bachelor's Degree from McNease State University in Lake Charles. From 1986 to 1989, he served in the US Navy. Mr. Burson then worked as an engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in Sunnyvale, California.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, January 6 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 7 at Hurst Street Church of Christ with Tim Perkins officiating. Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.
