Ruben L. Goatcher, 63, of Center, passed away March 25, 2009 at Pine Grove Nursing Center. He was born August 3, 1945 in Denton Island, east of Tuckerman, Arkansas, to Luther Goatcher and Velvie Reed Brown Goatcher. As a music minister, Ruben was involved in all aspects of Southern Baptist services. During his time as a nursing home administrator, he gave special attention to the residents with personal care. He was a member of the Lion's Club, and will be fondly remembered for his smile.

Mr. Goatcher has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, March 31 at the First Baptist Church in Haslam with Bro. Jody Hooper, Bro. Jerry Jones & Bob Argent officiating.
