Rory Robert Risinger Sr. , 65, of San Augustine, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, in San Augustine.

Graveside service will be held at Noon, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at East Hamilton Cemetery in Shelby County with visitation one hour prior.  Bro. Joseph Jones will officiate.

Born January 1, 1958, in Orange, Rory is the son of Paul Gene Risinger and Virginia Welch Risinger.  He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.  Rory was a member of Dunnigan Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lana Risinger; children, Rachelle Wilson and husband Jonathan, Rory Risinger Jr. and wife Joann, Logan Holbrook and wife Kelly, and Lindsey Holbrook; grandchildren, Wesley Jellison, Shelby Jellison, Sylvia Risinger, Charlotte Risinger, and Laytin DeCuir; great grand, Oakley Jellison; sisters, Ramona Chisum, Rebecca Green, and Robyn Soto.

Preceded in death by wife, Tammy Risinger; son, Ryan Paul Risinger; and parents, Paul Gene Risinger and Virginia Welch Lummus.

Pallbearers will be Rory Risinger Jr., Logan Holbrook, Terry Manuel, Josh Moody, Keith Chisum, and Wesley Jellison.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Wilson.
