Rev.
Robert Drew Warr Jr.,
72, of Joaquin, passed away
Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital in
Nacogdoches.
He was born January 10,
1941 in Nacogdoches to Robert Drew Warr Sr. and Addie Viola Kelley Warr.
Robert grew up in Nacogdoches and graduated
from Nacogdoches High School.
He went on
to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Stephen F. Austin University and later earned
a Masters of Theology from Jacksonville Baptist Seminary in Jacksonville,
Texas.
Robert was a retired Baptist
minister and pastored five churches during the years of his ministry.
He most recently attended First United
Methodist Church in Joaquin, where he held the title Pastor Emeritus.
Robert had a wonderful sense of humor.
He loved reading and he read a variety of
subjects, especially Biblical history and theology.
He also enjoyed painting, drawing and other artwork.
He is best remembered for chalk talks, which
were very inspiring.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m.,
Sunday, November 10, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Joaquin with Rev.
Randy Smith and Rev. Dock Lazarine officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Herman Cemetery in Center.
A visitation will be held two hours prior to
service time at First United Methodist Church in Joaquin.
He is survived by
