Robert D. Rushing, 73, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009, at his home in Center. He was born March 30, 1936 in Center to Robert D. Rushing, Sr. and Maude Clark Rushing. Mr. Rushing was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Sam Samford Masonic Lodge #149. He was also a member of the Lone Star Dutch Oven Society and the James Church of Christ.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00, Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Watson & Sons Chapel in Center with Jimmy Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Pallbearers will be Roger Justus, Colton Rhame, Richard Benavides, Chris Davis, Bubba Shofner, Billy Bob Warr, and Bobby Warr. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Chandler, R. O. Warr, Lowman Russell and Melvin Tomlin.
