Robert Douglas Campbell , 72, of Nacogdoches, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in Nacogdoches.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Frank Holrath officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery in Shelby County. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Robert Douglas Campbell was born July 20, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Ruth Morris Campbell and James Edward Campbell. He worked in the aircraft industry for many years. He was a pilot, enjoyed metal detecting and was an avid bass fisherman. In the words of his wife, "He was a devoted loving husband, with whom I was blessed to share my life. His strength, humor and courage, even in his suffering, fortified me, and his love remains in my heart."
