, 53, of Joaquin, passed away Wednesday, September
18, 2013 at his residence.
He was born
December 21, 1959 in Nacogdoches to Houston Simpson Byrd and Frances Bridwell
Byrd.
Mr. Byrd was a member of Pine
Ridge Baptist Church. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Joaquin with Bro. Mark Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Joaquin.
Pallbearers will be Dane Childress, Brandon Childress, Cody Childress, Preston Byrd, Brandon Byrd, Dustin Byrd and Chester Byrd. Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Cummings, Lance Cummings, Lynn Stephens, Bobo Cummings, Holden Cummings and Bill Gattis.
