Richard "Dick" Payne, 85, Joaquin, passed away September 2, 2009 at a Shreveport hospital. He was born November 28, 1923 to Dewey Payne and Maud Kennedy Payne. Mr. Payne was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 3rd at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, September 4th at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. Don Windham & Dr. Glenn Molsbee officiating. Interment will follow at Shelbyville Cemetery.

Also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
