Richard Hibbard , 69, of Center, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Hibbard's wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center, Texas.

Mr. Hibbard was born November 22, 1945 in Houston, Texas to Joseph Cecil Hibbard and Dorothy Tyrone Hibbard. He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Hibbard was a sheet metal worker for 42 years which he excelled at earning many awards and certificates throughout his career. He began his apprenticeship in 1967 and graduated in 1971. He became a member of the Sheet Metal Workers' Union in 1971 and worked until he retired in 2009.

In 1989, Mr. Hibbard purchased property in Whitt, Texas to begin his dream of having a peach farm. He had approximately 900 peach trees along with plums, grapes, blackberries, tomatoes, and much more that was sold at market. Mr. Hibbard was a successful farmer for 18 years and was very proud of his farm.

He will be greatly missed.

After the service, all family and friends are welcome to a celebration of his life at his home at 588 County Road 3505 in Center, Texas.
