R.G. "Monk" Peace , 90, of Center, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019, in Center.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Dale Gannon and Bro. Jerry Gannon officiating.

Mr. Peace was born January 5, 1929, in Center, to James Booth Peace and Ella Mae Patterson Peace.  During his lifetime, he worked as a lineman, farmer, rancher, and owner of Peace Egg Farm.  Mr. Peace was of the Church of Christ faith.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Peace; children, Roy Peace and wife Sharon, Glenda Ray and husband Alan, Rita Hairgrove and husband Bill, and Jan Allen and husband Terry; grandchildren, Shane Ray and wife Kim, Brandi Riggs and husband Justin, JB Raymond and wife Jennifer, Kaleb Metcalf and wife Melissa, Tanner Peace and wife Kristin, and Suzanne Peace; great grandchildren, McKynzie Bush, Justin Raymond, Jaxon Raymond, Cole Riggs, McKenna Ray, Cameron Metcalf, Cason Metcalf, and Trinity Metcalf; sister, Barbara Fay Wilson; brothers-in-law, David Jones and Sam Jones and wife Joy; sisters-in-law, Rose Jones, Mary Walker, Helen Samford and husband Oswell, Linda Foreman and husband Bobby, and Reneta Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Booth Peace and Ella Mae Patterson Peace; sister, Lillie Mae Hughes and husband Jeff; brothers, Reynold Dean "Bully" Peace and wife Yvonne and James Millard "Cudge" Peace and wife Wanda; and son-in-law, Buddy Metcalf; brothers-in-law, Donald Jones, Bob Jones, Carol Wilson, and Mike Walker; sisters-in-law, Barbara Waller and husband Jimmy, Jo Norris, and Billie Wall and husband Lester.

Pallbearers will be Shane Ray, JB Raymond, Kaleb Metcalf, Tanner Peace, and Justin Riggs.
