Peggy Whitton, 56, of Joaquin, passed away April 8, 2012 at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches. She was born August 21, 1955 in Nacogdoches to J.P. Dawson and Mable Stanley Dawson. She was of the Baptist faith.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Sister Melba Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin.

Pallbearers will be James Leggett, Billy Moore, David Leggett, Justin Griffin, Wesley Griffin, Tyler Griffin and Kenneth Redmon. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Tindol, Austin Griffin and Kevin Whitton.
