, 86, of Cleveland, formerly of Center,
passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at his residence.
He was born April 15, 1927 in Shelby County
to Eli Whitton and Gertie Patterson Whitton.
Mr. Whitton was stationed in Japan during his time of service in the United
States Army. He later was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company,
where he retired after several years of service. Mr. Whitton attended Sardis
Pentecostal Church until he moved to Cleveland and attended Christian Cowboy
Fellowship.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Sardis Cemetery in Shelby County with Mr. Whitton's son, Bro. Bo Whitton, officiating.
