Oran Williams, Jr., 58, of Etoile, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at his home. He was born October 10, 1950 in Center to Oran Williams and Lela Phillips Williams. Oran was a member of the Sam Samford Masonic Lodge #149, and served in the 101st Airborne division of the Army during Vietnam from 1967 - 1972. He graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in engineering, and was of the Baptist faith.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm, to 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 31, 2009 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. Greg Megill and Bro. Pat Windham officiating. Graveside services will follow at Sardis Cemetery under the direction of the VFW Post #8904.
