Odessa Hightower Link , 87, of Center, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, in Houston.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Center with Bro. Porter Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Link Family Cemetery in Palestine.

Born February 22, 1937, in Longview, Odessa is the daughter of Joseph Hightower and Charlene Roberson Hightower.  Her hobbies included cooking, shopping, and tending to her roses.  Known to her family as "Granny", Odessa deeply loved her grandchildren.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Center, where she was involved in their Golden Harvest Program.

She is survived by her son, Keith Link of Center; daughter, Jolene Link Burns and husband David of Katy; grandchildren, Chris Link and wife Caroline of Center, Kevin Link of Center, Heather Burns of Austin, and John Burns and wife Riley of Katy; great grandchildren, Sutton Link, Karson Link, Truett Link, Payton Link, and Parker Burns; sister, Virginia Hightower; and brother, Robert Hightower and wife Corrine.

Preceded in death by husband, Gilbert Link; parents, Joseph Hightower and Charlene Roberson Hightower; brother, Weldon Hightower; sister, Joanna Graham; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otha and Lydia Link.

Pallbearers will be Chris Link, Karson Link, Kevin Link, Jerry Nutt, John Burns, Burton Brown, Sutton Link, and Ward Herndon.  Honorary pallbearer will be Truett Link.
