O.L. Prothro, 69, of Joaquin, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana on November 16, 1941 to Otha Prothro Sr. and Olline Conn Prothro. Mr. Prothro served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Keithville, Louisiana and a member of the Carpenter's Union.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Jody Hooper officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.
