Nolan Edward McDonald , 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in San Augustine.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Ben Gibbs and Bro. B.A. Morris officiating. Interment will follow at West Hamilton Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Mr. McDonald was born May 13, 1928 in Shelby County to Luther James McDonald and Coren Snider McDonald. He served in the United States Navy and later became a self-employed farmer and rancher. Mr. McDonald enjoyed being a fishing guide on Toledo Bend for many years. He was a member of West Hamilton Missionary Baptist Church in Shelbyville, where he served as a deacon.
