Nellie Lucille Jackson Hughes , 96, of Joaquin, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Joe Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin.

Mrs. Hughes was born December 31, 1917 in the Jackson Community of Shelby County to Thomas Lee Jackson and Sarah Oma Jeans Jackson. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting and most of all spending time with her precious family. She was a member of Logansport Missionary Baptist Church in Logansport.
