Nell Brittain Fomby, 71, of Carthage, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 at her home. She was born July 21, 1938 in Center to Delbert Brittain and Ruby Davis Brittain. Ms. Fomby was a retired speech pathologist, having worked for Center I.S.D. for 25 years. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Carthage.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, November 6, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Watson & Sons Chapel in Center with Bro. Jeff Asher and Bro. Jim McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at White Rock Cemetery in Shelby County.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Andrews, Mickey Wiggins, Ashley Rowe, R.T. Dukes, Aaron Willoughby, and Terry Hamilton.
