Nathan was born on March 17, 1928 in Marshall, Texas to Elam Rabi and Francis Parrish Posey. He passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in Shreveport after a lengthy illness.
Dad married Mama, Betty Ross, on September 11, 1948. They had four children; Betty Ann, Frank, Bo and Debra Kay. We made our home in Houston. While living in Houston, Dad did whatever he had to do to provide a living for our family, from selling furniture and used cars to building houses. When we moved from Houston to Joaquin, he continued in the construction business. In 1970, his sons joined him. They built houses in Joaquin, Logansport and Pendleton. The last house built was Bo and Sheila's house. He helped build the new Logansport Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member. After the housing market fell off in the early 80's, he began B & N Auto. He was one of the best used car salesmen around. Once he was ready for retirement, he and mom retired to the bank of the Sabine River. Dad loved a good game of 42 and to watch boxing and any western on TV; any western, except for John Wayne, only because Mama had a crush on him. He had the CB (radio) name Hell Raizer, which fit him perfectly.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Sam Glover officiating. Interment will follow at Truitt Cemetery in Joaquin.
