Myrle Laverne Thrasher Childers age 97 of Dallas, Texas, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018.

Graveside services will be held in Center, Texas at the Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 2 PM on Sunday, February 18, 2018.

Myrle, daughter of Tom and Maggie Thrasher, was born March 26, 1920, in De Queen, Arkansas. She was a member of the 1 ^st Marching Band in Huntsville, Texas. She retired from Magic Gas Company in Center, Texas after a 30 year career as owner/manager. Additionally, she pursued a personal lifetime career in finance, investments, real estate, and ranching. She was a member of the Park Cities First Baptist Church and the Cochran Sunday School Class in Dallas, Texas, and was 50+ year member of the Center Chapter # 348 District 4 Section 1 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Myrle's survivors include her son Glynn Childers of Dallas, Texas, her cousin Mary Thrasher Griffin, numerous nieces, nephews, and many longtime friends.

Myrle was preceded in death by her husband Harice Childers and her parents Tom and Maggie Thrasher.
