Obituary

Mildred Rider "Mee Maw" Milford, born May 17, 1913 in Shelby County, Texas, a longtime Pasadena resident, then Pearland resident, went to be with her Lord on May 24, 2012. She died at her home in Pearland, Texas with family, close friends and her loyal chihuahua companion, Poco, attending at her side. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, friends, flowers and garden. Her self-sacrificing generous nature and wonderful sense of humor touched everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

She entered into eternal life, preceded by
Parents: Arthur Rider and Annie Royal Rider
Brothers: Claude Earl Rider, Ellis Parker Rider and Alton Arthur Rider
Sister: Anna Berry Rider
Loving Husband: Hilliard Hillen Milford

Mildred is survived by
Her only child: S.A. Milford
Grandchildren: Noelle Hargis Milford and Story Milford
Nephew: Dale Rider
Special Friends, whose love was appreciated, Jane Hargis, Elaine Hand, Judy Claney Sr., Francesca Kearns and Jhanine Binderman

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. Royce Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee Cemetery in Tenaha.

Honorary pallbearers will be Linda Weyandt Sr., Francesca Kearns, Jhanine Binderman, Noelle Hargis Milford, Reverend Dale Rider, Jane Hargis, Elaine Hand, Judy Clancy and Tom Menefee.

It is with deep gratitude that we express a heartfelt thanks to our family and friends for the many expressions of kindness and help during the time of bereavement. We deeply appreciate your many acts of love and your comforting presence. Whatever you may have done to console our hearts, we thank you so very much. May God richly bless each of you for the love that you expressed to all of us. The family would also like to thank Solari Hospice for their compassionate care.
