Merline Sherrod, 86, of Center, passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 at her residence. She was born October 25, 1921 in Center to Burton Brittain and Lizzie Reynolds Brittain. Ms. Sherrod was a member of Center First Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker and mother.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Jim Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in the Asbury Chapel Cemetery in Center.
