Melba Rean McSwain, 85, of Center, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 at Shelby Regional Medical Center. She was born October 11, 1924 in Shelby County to Ruben Lawrence Parish and Willie Mae Choate Parish. Ms. McSwain was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Pat Windham and Bro. Doug Stone officiating. Interment will follow at the Old Salem Cemetery in Shelby County.
