Mary Jo Smith Lampley passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, in Benbrook, Texas.

Funeral services will be private.

Mary was born in Center to Dude Campbell and Bertha Campbell Collins. She was a devoted mother to her three daughters and was known for her kindness and caring heart. Mary was always willing to help others and enjoyed doing things for those she loved. She especially enjoyed shopping for her many shoes and clothing. Mary also loved working in her yard and took great pride in caring for her many beautiful flowers.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Jill and husband Bubba Chapman of Benbrook and Robin Smith and Lori Dove of Burleson; grandchildren, Natalie and husband Johnny Ledyard of Fort Worth and Campbell Dick and wife Shannon of Fort Worth; great grandchildren, Hattie Ledyard of Fort Worth and Hamilton Ledyard of Fort Worth; and cousins, Connie Morrison of Shelbyville, Gayle Still of Longview, and Lou Ann Kizzia of Longview.

Preceded in death by her husband, Doug Lampley; husband, Arthur Smith; daughter, Tami Dick; parents, Dude Campbell and Bertha Campbell Collins; and sisters, LaNell Reed and Marie McDonald.
