Mary Alice Quisenberry Samford, 83, of College Station, formerly of Center and long-time resident of Groves, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 2:45 p.m. She was born September 4, 1924 to Zora Albert Quinsenberry and Vergie Combs Quinsenberry. Mary was a kind, gentle and fun-loving woman who dedicated her life to her husband of 62 years, as well as her family. She lived an extraordinary life of courage, strength, faith, and most of all, she lived a life of love. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, her joy was found in giving to those around her. Mary, or MeMe as she was known to most, was the heart and soul of her large extended family. She has impacted the lives of many, many people, and she will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, July 11, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 12 at Mt. Herman Cemetery with Tim Perkins officiating.
