Mary Louise Ivey , 92, of Center, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, in Tenaha.
Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Center with Darwin Parrot officiating.
Born October 25, 1932, Mary is the daughter of Horace Napier and Clara Pearl Nail Napier. Having lost her mother at the age of four, Mary was lovingly raised by her aunt, Grace Stephens. She married her first husband, Perry Nelson Jolley, who was tragically killed in an oil refinery explosion in Waskom. Later, Mary met L.E. Ivey and the two were married. She faithfully served the Lord in ministry as a minister's wife. Mary shared her musical talents by playing the organ, piano, and accordion both in the ministry and all over Shelby County. She was a lifelong member of the Assemblies of God Church.
She is survived by her children, Mark Ivey and wife Janet of Crystal Beach, Scott Ivey of Fred, Jere and husband Joe Mitchell of Grapeland; grandchildren, Ashley and husband Miles Rollo of Houston, Kyle Ivey and wife Nena of Nacogdoches, Joel Mitchell and wife Jessica of Grapeland, Cassie Mitchell of Grapeland, and Vail Ivey of Fred; numerous great grandchildren; numerous cousins; and special friend, Debbie Gilchrist of Shelbyville.
Preceded in death by her husband, Perry Nelson Jolley; husband, L.E. Ivey; and her parents, Horace Napier and Clara Pearl Nail Napier.
