Obituary

Mac T. Carter , 59, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 1, 1953 in Port Arthur to Smith Lamar Carter and Wilma Parker Carter. Mr. Carter was a teacher at Nacogdoches ISD and Shelbyville ISD, where he taught math for 29 years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Carter was a member of Campti Pentecostal Church in the Campti Community of Shelby County. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Graveside service will immediately follow at Carroll Cemetery in Shelbyville with Bro. James Goodwyn and Sister Melba Rodgers officiating.

Pallbearers will be Michael Warren, T.J. Goodwyn, Brad Goodwyn, Kevin Carter Ali, Kris Carter Ali, Vic Carter, Mikel Carter, Larry Warren, Jim Culver, Terry Allen, Mark Collins and Michael Collins.
