Lucio Arias Vasquez , 52, of Center, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, in Carthage.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Miguel Gomez officiating. Interment will be held in Mexico at a later date.

Born December 3, 1972, in Tabasco, Mexico, Lucio is the son of Ciriaco Arias and Margarita Vasquez. He worked in agriculture and enjoyed farming. He loved time spent with his family.

He is survived by his children, Leandro Arias and wife Octavi Mendez Martinez of Virginia and Karen Arias of Cancun, Mexico; stepdaughter, Bellanira Gomez and husband Manuel of Josefa, Mexico; grandchildren, Aron Marquez Gomez of Josefa, Mexico and Manuela Anai Marquez Gomez of Josefa, Mexico; mother, Margarita Vasquez of Tomas, Garrido, Mexico; brothers, Juvencio Arias and wife Josefina of Tomas, Garrido, Mexico, and Zebedeo Arias of Tomas, Garrido, Mexico; and sister, Maria Alejandra and husband Cornelio of Tomas Garrido, Mexico.

Preceded in death by father, Ciriaco Arias; brother, Javier Arias; and sister, Consuelo Arias.
