Mrs.
Lorene Sanders Adams
, 99, of Timpson, Texas, passed away
Thursday, November 7, 2013 at her home in Shelby County, Texas.
Mrs. Adams was born February 6, 1914 in the
Harris Community of Claiborne Parish, Louisiana to Goode and Onie Sanders. She
was one of six children.
Mrs. Adams and
her husband were lifelong members of the Baptist Church and lived most of their
lives in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Gordon E. Adams; two brothers; two sisters; and two children, James E. Adams and Mrs. Jacquelyn Shipp. She is survived by her daughter, Jean McMullen and husband, Bill; her brother, Glen Sanders and wife, Mary of Shreveport, Louisiana; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
